Saints Row review
Ahh, Saints Row the fun ass game everyone loves to play! Through the development of this game, I wasn't sure from the beginning if it was just going to be like another Grand Theft Auto knock off. Turns out, it became something totally different, a great game! Starting with Saints Row 1, the customization options were very limited, but the story was good. However, Saints Row 2 came into play, were customization was a bigger addition to the game. I've recently just beat Saints Row 2 and have not yet obtained Saints Row: The Third. This is going to be a review about the game in general, and the developers. The game is quite raw, and there is no innocence seen. Gangs from each side of the cities included in Saints Row go for an all out brawl to take over the city, and become the so called "owners" of it. The first that came to mind when I started playing Saints Row 2 (skipped Saints Row 1 because no money) is that it was highly inappropriate for my age. Cursing was a huge deal, it was getting thrown around like no body in the world cared for such provocative language. I was even surprised to hear the "N" word come into play! I would think that in Grand Theft Auto that would happen, but I guess not. It shocked me when I first heard it, because some people could take is very offensively, or think of it just being a game with a gang. I did not take it offensively, I just thought of it as highly inappropriate. The game was rated M for mature, so there is cautions when buying games like Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto. I received Saints Row 2 for free, only for one reason. My boyfriend purchased Saints Row: The Third, and it came with a free download of Saints Row 2, so of course I took up the offer. I have yet to get Saints Row: The Third.. hopefully for Christmas! Coming into the developers scene, I wonder how they felt about adding such foul language I decided to search around Google, but I could not find anything. I'm sure they probably didn't care much, because it is a game based on gangs and gangs are potty mouths. As I searched around I stumbled upon Saints Row: The Third on Wikipedia, and scrolled all the way to the bottom. I saw that Saints Row 4 is already in process, but there is no set release date for it yet. I haven't even put my hands on Saints Row 3, and they are talking Saints Row 4 already! Ugh! Give me some time! Haha. Overall, I give Saints Row a 10/10, for it's great game play, customization, and not ever getting bored with it.
